Why SIBO Awareness matters
SIBO occurs when bacteria that normally grow in other parts of the gut start multiplying in the small intestine. This imbalance can lead to chronic symptoms like bloating, gas, abdominal pain, diarrhea, and malnutrition—deeply affecting quality of life. For many, the journey to a proper diagnosis is long, frustrating, and filled with misinformation. And by far one of the biggest challenges to receiving a proper diagnosis is the lack of awareness of SIBO - both among patients and even the medical community.

SIBO Awareness Day: April 8th
April 8th marks the very first National SIBO Awareness Day, a groundbreaking initiative dedicated to raising awareness, offering support, and educating the public about Small Intestinal Bacterial Overgrowth (SIBO)—a condition that affects millions, yet remains underdiagnosed and misunderstood.
SIBO Awareness is here to change that:
Our Mission

Empower: Equip patients and healthcare providers with the tools they need to manage and understand SIBO.
Unite: Build a supportive, informed community where no one with SIBO feels alone.
